Sporting Club San Severo is preparing for two weeks of great tennis with a prestigious national event that will bring athletes, enthusiasts, and professionals from all over Italy to the city of San Severo.

From May 25th to June 7th, at the historic club on Via Foggia, an important Men's and Women's Open tournament will take place, included in the national calendar, with a prestigious total prize pool of 5,500 euros and hospitality reserved for the highest-ranked players.

The event begins on May 25th, with the first week dedicated to qualifiers and basic categories, involving emerging competitors and the many enthusiasts who animate the local tennis movement. The tournament will then hit its stride in the second week, and specifically during the final five days of the event, when athletes of the highest technical profile will compete on the Sporting Club courts.

The competition will kick off on Monday the 25th. Currently, the provisional men's entry list features Francesco Bahamonte Nicastro (ranking 2.2) as the number one seed, an Italian-Argentine coming from Sporting Club Bisceglie 2.0. Among the expected protagonists are also Francesco Colasanto, Andrea Pacello, and Giuseppe Tresca, all with a federal ranking of 2.3 and considered among the main candidates for final victory.

As for the women's draw, the candidates for final victory include Federica Papa (ranking 2.6) and Chiara Capurso (2.7). Cristiana Totaro (2.8), a former under-14 regional champion who trains steadily at Sporting Club San Severo, can be considered the right outsider; the young athlete, in addition to having improved technically, will enjoy all the warmth of the San Severo club, where she trains with commitment and dedication every day.

For this reason, the event is of great relevance not only for Sporting Club San Severo but for the entire city. For over two weeks, the center of the Alto Tavoliere will experience a significant movement of players, accompanying coaches, and enthusiasts, with positive economic and image impacts for the territory.

On weekdays, matches will start from 2:00 PM, while on holidays from 10:00 AM. Admission is free and open to all citizens.
